As someone that often likes to teach others to play Magic for their first time, it is always a joy for me when those new players start to realize just how deep the catalogue of Magic cards truly is.

Growth Spiral is fine in Turbo Fog, but Brainstorm is better. As long as I can keep drawing through my deck and Fogging any scary attacks, I'm still favored. I played against Ponza the other day and I mostly didn't bother fighting over their land destruction spells, because they just don't matter in the long run. You don't even really care about making your own land drops too much. You want your opponent to take turns so they draw through their deck, inching you closer to victory naturally. Turbo Fog isn't just about ramping into the mega-late-game, but about allowing your opponent to run themselves out of relevant resources, Fogging only when necessary. I see what you're saying but in practice, Explore effects do not play out the same as Time Walk (though Savor the Moment is a bit closer, since you don't untap).
